GLASS PANEL MOLDS
These molds are designed and made with a complete 2” x 3” Rectangular metal frame upon which a particle board base is attached. From here a ¼” thick sheet of Tempered Glass is glued to the particle board base. On the outside edges we glue a Polyethylene mitered strip all the way around the outside edge, this edge can be any thickness you would like from ¼”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 5/8”, ¾”, 1” etc... This allows you to use it as a regular fiberglass mold only having the clay just as you would setting up any divider bar. It also protects the outside edges of the glass since it overlaps that edge. Below are just a few of the sizes readily available. We can make these in many other sizes not listed. If we can get the glass cut to the size you want we can do virtually any custom size. Of course it is all limited to sizes of glass available. If you have never poured on glass you are missing the ultimate finish. As with any glass product it can be broken so care needs to be taken that it is not hit or pried upon. You would use your same type of releases as you use on your fiberglass tools. We do suggest using sealers and multi release liquid waxes over any paste wax.
